A Tooth Fairy Tale

It all started with the loose tooth, of course. Actually, there were 3 of those, hanging around the house. Two of them belonged to David. It happened the first week of August when one of them fell out, as loose teeth normally do. Well, then its neighbor felt even looser, since there was all that space around it. So David decided to finish it off as well. On Dad's advice through skype (Dad was in the republic of Georgia at the time) he asked me to tie one end of a dental floss to his tooth. I didn't believe he was actually doing this! You must understand, trimming fingernalis for this child is painful enough that I wish I could administer some sort of anesthetic to him. I never thought I'd ever witness him pulling out his own tooth. Wow, David!
He is ready, I guess. Wait, am I ready to handle what's coming?

While Dave was figuring out the mechanics of the tooth-pulling-door-shutting procedure, the tooth.... came out on its own without any effort on the door part. There was quite a bit of blood but Dave was brave reassuring me that it's not fatal and he'll live. Here is my toothless Davey boy.
two top teeth gone in one morning!

Tooth Fairy welcome to our home! But that's not the end of the story. A couple hours later Nadia's fang came out making it 3 teeth in one day! I hope Tooth Fairy is ready for that kind of expenses. Though, I must note, that Nadia's faith in Tooth Fairy has significantly diminished in the past few years. She's now been carefully collecting her teeth for future sceintific research. That little baby food jar with her collection and the pride and excitement that it bings can never compare with a plain old dollar bill under her pillow. Still, she took the money and kept the tooth. That's the kind of Tooth Fairy I am talking about.

Oh, and within a week both of our babies have gotten 2 top molers each. That's quite a deal! And quite the amount of fussiness too.
